Homiletics

The science and art governing the preparation and delivery of Sermons.  This course involves, inter alia, a consideration of the essential qualifications of a preacher: the urgent necessity for preaching; the importance of the proper preparation of the sermon material, including its discovery and arrangement and the best means of ensuring the effective presentation and reception of the message.
